Though this recipe might seem a bit long, trust me, the outcome is totally worth it! These soft rolls pair amazingly with everything—soups, curries, you name it. And the best part? A swipe of butter makes it perfect. Give it a shot and see for yourself!
Nutricook Team
3 tbsp Warm Water
1 1/2 tsp Active Dry
Yeast
1 tsp Sugar
230g All-Purpose Flour
30g Sugar
100ml Whole Milk
40g Butter, Softened
Lactose, Dairy Products, Cow Milk Protein, Yeast
In a small bowl, mix the warm water and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Sprinkle the yeast over the milk mixture and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
In a mixing bowl place all the ingredients for the dough, except for the butter. Use a hook attachment and knead the dough at speed 3 until it forms like a dough (takes about 5 minutes). Add the softened butter, slowly.
Increase the speed to 4 and keep kneading until the dough absorbs the butter. It will take about 10 – 15 minutes.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled mixing bowl, cover it with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.
Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down to release the air. Divide the dough into equal-sized portions (40g each roll) and shape them into rolls. Place the rolls on a tray and leave some space between each roll.
Cover the rolls loosely with plastic wrap and let them rise again for about 45 minutes to 1 hour until they puff up. Once it’s proofed brush the rolls with milk.
Set your air fryer at 160°C for 15 minutes using BAKE function and press START. Your nutricook air fryer will preheat automatically. Once the preheating is done, place the balls in the basket.
Once baked, brush with some butter and serve.
