Air Fryer FAQ's

What is Nutricook Air Fryer Oven and how does it work?

The Nutricook Air Fryer Oven is a combination of air fryer, convection oven, rotisserie oven and food dehydrator all-in-one. It works as an air fryer with a powerful fan which distributes hot air around food for quicker, crispier and healthier result, as a convection oven with a normal fan for baking and with a 360 °C rotating system for rotisserie style foods.

Is air frying a healthier option than deep frying?

Yes. Air frying uses less oil which makes it a healthier alternative to deep frying. Since less oil is used, it reduces cholesterol and fats thus becoming a healthier option for all your favourite fried food.

Do I need to use oil when air frying?

In air frying, oil is not necessarily required but a specific amount can be recommended for some recipes to ensure best result. Spray oil works best as the oil is distributed evenly and less is needed. Canola, olive, avocado, coconut, grapeseed, peanut and vegetable oil work well.

Is preheating the air fryer oven required?

If a certain recipe requires preheating or when cooking meats that benefit from an initial hot sear, preheat the oven for 5 minutes. Preheating visibly improves food texture and takes 2 to 5 minutes!

How do I turn off the air fryer oven?

To turn the air fryer oven OFF at any time, simply press and hold the white POWER button.

How do I get rid of excessive smoke when cooking high fat foods?

When cooking high fat foods such as chicken, sausages and meats, it is necessary to empty fat from the drip trays between batches. Excessive oil/fat drippings deposited on the drip tray generates excess smoke and must be poured out.

Can I cook breaded foods in the air fryer oven?

Yes, however, please ensure that the foods are properly breaded and for crispier result, fry smaller batches. Always ensure to properly press the breading into food as the air inside the fryer oven may blow off breading. You can refrigerate breaded food at least 30 minutes before frying.

Note: Arrange breaded food in the wire racks so that the food is not touching to allow air flow on all surfaces.

Does the air fryer oven cook food evenly?

Yes. To assure even cooking/browning, do not overfill the rotating basket or wire racks to allow even air distribution. Always open the door halfway through cooking time to check the status of the food and shake it. Some recipes may also call for brush or spray oil halfway through cooking.

When using the rotisserie function, remember not to cook oversize chicken to allow proper rotation.
