Smart Oven FAQs

What is Nutricook Smart Air Fryer Oven and how does it work?

The Nutricook Smart Air Fryer Oven is a 12-in-1 multi use air fryer toaster oven with 12 Presets: Pizza, Roast, Airfry, Toast, Bagel, Bake, Broil, Cookies, Rotisserie, Dehydrate, Ferment and Keep Warm for your cooking needs. It has a convection fan which circulates hot air in the oven for faster and more even cooking. You can use the normal fan speed (convection) or the high fan speed (super convection) during cooking. High fan speed can give crispier results, and is required for air frying.

It works as an air fryer with a powerful fan which distributes hot air around food for quicker, crispier and healthier result, as a convection oven with a normal fan for baking and with a 360 °C rotating system for rotisserie style foods.

Is air frying a healthier option than deep frying?

Yes. Air frying uses less oil which makes it a healthier alternative to deep frying. Since less oil is used, it reduces cholesterol and fats thus becoming a healthier option for all your favourite fried food.

Do I need to use oil when air frying?

In air frying, oil is not necessarily required but a specific amount can be recommended for some recipes to ensure best result. Spray oil works best as the oil is distributed evenly and less is needed. Canola, olive, avocado, coconut, grapeseed, peanut and vegetable oil work well.

How do I get rid of excessive smoke when cooking high fat foods?

When cooking high fat foods such as chicken, sausages and meats, it is necessary to empty fat from the food tray between batches. Excessive oil/fat drippings deposited on the food tray generates excess smoke and must be poured out.

Note: Always ensure that the crumb tray or food tray is free from any food debris or oil and must be cleaned every after use.

Can I use containers with lids in the oven?

Yes but caution should be exercised when using containers with lids in the oven, as pressure build up in a covered pan or dish may cause hot ingredients to expel or the dish to crack. Do not place sealed or airtight containers in the oven.

What types of containers should I use in the oven?

Always use heat-safe and oven-safe containers. Be extremely cautious when using containers that aren’t metal or glass. Ensure that the containers fit properly inside the oven and have enough room to allow proper air circulation.

Can I use baking paper inside the oven?

Yes. Baking paper helps protect the food tray from food stains and prevents food from sticking however, never use baking/parchment paper while operating the oven without food in it. Air circulation can cause paper to move and touch heating elements and can create fire.

Can I make Yogurt in the oven?

Yes. Use the Ferment function but ensure that you have an appropriate recipe.
